The Ohio State University Recruitment Host Program
The Recruitment Host program plays a vital role in welcoming quality students to campus. We are on the front lines of recruiting for The Ohio State University.
The 2026 cohort application will open August 25– October 5, 2025.
You must be a currently enrolled Ohio State student graduating after the Spring 2026 semester to apply, and both portions of the application must be completed and submitted by the deadline.
About the program
Recruitment Hosts are an exceptional group of about 45 undergraduate students brought together by a shared passion for Ohio State. Hosts come from both Ohio and out-of-state and are pursuing many different majors and career areas.
The Recruitment Host program, part of Undergraduate Admissions, plays a vital role in welcoming quality students to campus. We are on the front lines of recruiting for The Ohio State University.
Hosts greet and speak with prospective students and their families at recruitment events. Responsibilities include:
- Serving as hosts, minglers and managers for prospective students and their guests during Undergraduate Admissions recruitment events, home football games and off-season practices, camps and visits
- Managing the visitor experience and maintaining all NCAA compliance rules and regulations
